Fitness

We like to say: “Stop Destroying and Start Rebuilding your Soul, Body, and Mind”. We believe fitness is a lifestyle and when you are consistent with your training, your mind will start processing the fact that your hard work is netting a positive result. Consistent training and healthy lifestyle choices help strengthen the brain, building the body you want, and healing the soul. You are in control and no one can take that away from you. If you suffer from mental illnesses, addiction, are struggling, in a bad relationship or situation, or just having a bad day, fitness provides an opportunity to feel successful every day. Even if it’s just for a short while. You may have heard the term “mind-muscle connection”. At SoulBuildingFitness we follow the “Mind-Muscle and Soul” connection. We don’t just move weights from point A to B. We believe that not only can one have a mindfulness approach during exercise by fully experiencing the present, but one can also process certain memories and thoughts during exercise. Addiction

We believe that drug and alcohol addiction not only destroys the body and mind, but we also believe that the soul cannot be healed with repeated use of drugs & alcohol. From our own experience we used drugs and alcohol to cope with our mental illness symptoms. We also realize that many of us may not produce enough of important neurotransmitters and organic chemicals in our brains. We believe that intense exercise is a great way to increase those feel good chemicals in our brains.There will be topics related to addiction and chemical dependency in this blog, and we look forward to productive discussions so we can all continue to learn and get better.

Mental Health

We’ll also be posting about a wide range of general mental health topics as well as coping mechanisms that may be outside exercise, so you have more of a well-rounded outlook on helping you deal with your issues. We are very open minded and look forward to engaging in discussions with our readers.
